Sad New: Three recent passings
Enrique Mercado
Those in the Tucson area may have seen the lead story on front page of today’s Arizona Daily Star about the stabbing death of a bicycle rider on The Loop this week. You can see the story here. We did not know Enrique Mercado, but we offer our condolences to his family and friends. A gofundme account has been set up to support his children and family.
Jack Daniels
We did know Jack Daniels, though, and we’ve very sorry to see the passing of the legendary running coach and author of perhaps the most important running book, the Daniels’ Running Formula, published by Human Kinetics Press.
Some in the running community are donating to his family’s gofundme account to help cover the cost of his funeral. Details are here.
Paul Robillia
Finally, we’re sorry to announce the passing of our long-time running buddy, Paul Robillia.
