Key training tips for the holidays:
1. Don’t stress. If running doesn’t fit into the holiday schedule use it as valuable recovery time and reset for the new year.
2. Get outside and be active doing fun activities that you don’t normally get to do.
3. If you can run, focus on the important things listed above (recovery, intervals, strength and endurance).
4. Don’t spend excessive amounts of time on your training. 30-45 minutes a day will keep you sharp and maintain fitness until you get back to your usual routine.
5. Hydrate and nourish your body during the holidays as if you’re training for an endurance event.
Happy Holidays! See you back at WOG on January 6.
