If you’re looking for a party, don’t miss the TMC Meet Me Downtown 5k Night Run on Saturday, May 30, 2026

This popular charity event takes place in the heart of Downtown Tucson and features a 5k running route that is perfect for speedsters and walkers, plus a family-friendly One Mile event. 

 Prize money for top runners, with live music, a post-race beer garden, and after-party.

What you get: Souvenir shirt, timed race, one free pour at the Pueblo Vida Beer Garden, after-party, and free entry to the Children’s Museum for families

Staged in front of the Children’s Museum, with music and other festivities, plus our standard route through Armory Park and other historic neighborhoods.

Tucson’s premier running party is a great way to kick start the summer!

  • This is the first-race of the three-race Gabe Zimmerman Triple Crown.  

  • Beneficiaries: Help us raise funds for local charities — use the “Donate” button to provide funds to the charity of your choice.  This year, we are raising funds for education and youth, so please help us support the Children’s Museum,  Greater Tucson Leadership, and the BEYOND-Tucson Foundation.

4:00 pm – 6:00 pm, at The Running Shop, 3055 North Campbell Ave

  • You can pick up your souvenir items in person Thursday, first come, first served basis.
  • In person registration is available, online, cash or check.
  • It will probably be more crowded than the photo above, but you get the idea . . .

Tent Outside: Numbers for all races + GZTC goodies

  • 5k and GZTC: At the tent outside you will pick up your 5k race number and the Gabe Zimmerman Triple Crown shirt and medal. Those 21+ can use this number for the Beer Garden.
  • Milers: Open and HS Milers can pick up the chip-timed RRCA Championship Race Bib Number outside. 21+ can use this at the Beer Garden
  • FitKidz and FitKidz Parents: You can pick up the chip-timed FitKidz bib numbers for the child outside. Parents do not get a race number and will be untimed.
  • Everyone: pick up the four safety pins to pin your number on the front of the shirt you will wear during the race.
  • Souvenir Add-On Hats: If you ordered a hat, we will have it for you at the tent, too.

Inside: After you get your number, you’ll go inside the Running Shop, to pick up your TMC 5k Night Run Shirt. (The shirt volunteers will not have check-in information, so please tell them the shirt size that you ordered.)

Shopping: The Running Shop will have sale items

Friday: Balega and The Running Shop will offer a 2-4-1 sock sale on Friday evening!

Saturday, May 30, Race Night Schedule

Race Location, Parking, Race Maps: If you haven’t heard, Armory Park is closed for renovations, so we’ve had to change the race staging area a bit from the way we’ve done things in recent years. Below you can find a map of the planned race night staging activities and a map of Downtown parking.

  • Registration and packet pickup will be on the grass along the north side of the Children’s Museum.
  • The bathrooms will be against the walls on the south side of the Children’s Museum.
  • The beer garden will be on the left as you face the Children’s Museum.

5:00 – 6:30 Registration and Packet Pickup, 200 South Sixth Avenue

In person registration is available, online, cash or check.

Registration will be on the lawn on the north side of the Children’s Museum building, basically at 12th Street just west of Sixth Avenue. Everyone will check in and get a number at the Run Tucson tents. Then they will continue down the chute to get a 5k race shirt and/or GZTC goodies.

FitKidz and SAR will have a tent, so you can go directly to the FitKidz tent to get the registered FitKidz stuff.

Ongoing Vendor Expo: with all sorts of great giveaways and activities from Padel Alley, ProActive Physical Therapy, Natural Grocers, Raising Cane’s, ICCU, HOKA, The Running Shop, Renewal by Andersen, El Tour de Tucson, SAR, and more.

Pueblo Vida Beer Garden: for 21+ Free pour with your race number, $5 additional pours. Bring ID if you’re even close.

6:00 pm Start Open Mile Race, the RRCA West Regional Championship

6:00 pm Start Running Shop High School Mile by HOKA

6:30 pm Start SAR FitKidz Mile Check in at the FitKidz tent near the Children’s Museum will begin at 5:00 pm

  • Raising Cane’s gift card for all and SAR FitKidz goodies for all

7:00 pm Start TMC 5k Run/Walk — for all ages, all abilities, all bodies, with prize money and age group awards.

Post-Race at Pueblo Vida

Thanks to Pueblo Vida for providing the beer for the Beer Garden — be sure to stop by their Brewing Company at 115 East Broadway.

Post-race through June. Shirts and medals of registrants who cannot make race weekend will be available at The Running Shop, 3055 North Campbell through the end of June. T-shirt sizing first come, first served. We will donate all remaining souvenirs on July 1st, so please be sure to pick up your items or send someone to pick them up before July 1st.

While the route will be closed to traffic, please be mindful of vehicles and standard night-time road concerns, such as potholes, speedbumps, curbs, and the like.
